Based in Gloucestershire, U.K., The Black Feathers are a husband and wife duo who play a blend of folk, roots, and Americana music. Sian Chandler’s and Ray Hughes’ 2014 debut EP, Strangers We Meet, was listed in The Telegraph as one of the best folk albums of 2014, and their sound has been likened to that of The Civil Wars and Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings. Their first full length CD, Soaked to the Bone, was released in 2016 to rave reviews, such as: "Mesmerizing and stunning in equal measure. An artistic triumph for a duo of undeniable talent." — FATEA

Having built up a loyal following in the U.K., The Black Feathers have been spreading their wings across the US, and are garnering rave reviews here such as: “Once in a blue moon, the whole soars far above the sum of its parts. That’s what happens when The Black Feathers perform live” — Black Mountain News, North Carolina

Since coming to America, The Black Feathers have performed at the Philadelphia Folk Festival and AmericanaFest, and have also been awarded official showcases at the North East Regional and Far-West Folk Alliance conferences. To say that they are up and coming, would be an understatement.

"Draws you in for a brilliant, effervescent ride from the moment you press play." ---Maverick

"Positively sparkles with energy and joy. Magical ballads that would encourage the rowdiest of crowds to fall silent." ---Country Record
